Are your cakes fresh?
They sure are. We bake specifically for your order, at the last possible moment, using only the freshest ingredients. You can't get fresher!
Is the Lemony Cupcake a licensed food business?
Yes! The Lemony Cupcake holds a current Food Business Licence (Manufacturing) issued by BCC. In addition, The Lemony Cupcake was recently awarded 5 STARS under Brisbane City Council's Eat Safe Brisbane Food Safety Rating Scheme so you can be assured you are receiving cakes and goodies of the highest standard.
Eat Safe Brisbane is a new way to measure and promote food safety in Brisbane. All licensed food businesses within Brisbane will be issued with a food safety star rating based on an assessment conducted by Council under the Food Act 2006, Food Safety Standards (FSANZ) and good management practices. Information regarding the star safety ratings, including details of individual business', is expected to be available on Council's website from November 2010.
How should I store my cake? In the fridge?
No! Your cake will become dry and the icing will 'sweat' when you remove it from the fridge, and we would hate to see all that hard work (and your expectations) ruined! Cakes and cupcakes are best stored in a cool, dry (but not too dry!) and dark place. Your kitchen pantry is perfect (if they make it that far!).
When should I order my cake or cupcakes?
We love lots of notice. The more the better. For cupcakes with basic decorations we require a minimum of 48 hours notice. For anything a bit more special, Contact Us as early as you can because cake perfection takes time!
Do you deliver interstate or overseas?
Our cakes are available for pick up from Mitchelton on Brisbane’s northside or delivery to Brisbane CBD and surrounds. At this stage, we are unable to deliver interstate or overseas. Please Contact Us for delivery fees.
Do you offer gluten-free options?
Yes. We have several gluten free options. Please Contact Us for an up to date list.
Can I hire a cupcake stand for my event?
Yes. We have several cupcake and cake stands available for hire from as little as $25. Please note that a bond of $75 is required for all stands and will be refunded on the safe return of the stand (ie – Free of scratches, chips, crazing or other damage). Care instructions for all stands is provided.
I would like to order a wedding cake. Where do I start?
Contact Us to arrange an obligation free consultation. Once your consultation is booked, consider bringing along pictures or sketches of cakes you have seen, details of bridal flowers, table decorations, invitations, fabric samples etc. The more information you can bring, the better we can assist you in making your cake (and wedding day) memorable!
